Ok, so here’s a perfect example of how we must counteract discrimination and how it is effecting us and our children every day.
Well, yesterday my daughter came home from dance class and i noticed she looked a little down or upset. She usually comes home and runs into my lap with a big smile. So I asked her what was wrong and she said that her dance teacher yelled at her because she did not have on the children’s dancewear brand that the other girls were wearing. This was just astonishing to me. I couldn’t believe that she would call out a child for not having on a certain brand,
I imagine this was because of the fact that women are constantly evaluating others because of their brands of clothes or lack thereof. My wife had taken her to Target to get a leotard for a reasonable price and the teacher didn’t think that was good enough.
I am surprised that the teacher even noticed it. That shows us that discipline can go a little to far. I mean, her reasons for telling her to get a certain brand was so that they would all look the same.
That’s going to far don’t you think? Have you ever experienced anything like this outrageous with your kids? I bet you have. Especially if you have girls.
