During a sensitive and lowly time in our economy, I’ve been reading many articles that talk about how employers are judging people based on their age. For example, f someone shows up to an interview that has eye wrinkles and puffy eyes and “looks” too old for the job, they don’t end up getting hired because of their assumed age. And this is simply based on their looks and the fact that they may have more facial wrinkles than the average person.
As a result, many men and women are researching cosmetic procedures and deciding to improve their looks so that they look younger; even despite the fact that they don’t have the money to be spending on cosmetic procedures.
I was very surprised when I heard this was happening in the work place and that people have been going to such lengths to improve their chances of getting a job – all due to age discrimination.
Do you know anyone who has went to such lengths?
